And That’s a Wrap!

Okay - we have officially wrapped God Rocks! Yes, I know what you’re thinking…didn’t you wrap that last year? Well, yes and no. We were finished with principle photography but through the edit realized we were missing a couple of key audio elements. The last of those was captured today!

So now we will slot them in, finalize our edit and send it off to our sound designer with a bright red bow on it and get ready to release the film to the world!

Stay tuned…

Trying to find the Swing of Things….

It’s been a while since I’ve been on here..mostly because of a new little human being that recently joined my family. I’d like to introduce to you Miss Dahlia Marie -

dahlia-cupcake.JPGShe was born on December 14, 2007 - 3 1/2 weeks early so a little bit of a surprise to us all. Already she is learning the fine points of editing and hopefully she’ll learn the fine points of sleeping through the night sooner rather than later. I think she just might be 4 Track Films’ youngest production assistant…in fact I’m sure of it!

We’ve got some exciting things in the works here so keep stopping by. Trailers, new projects and have you downloaded the free tune from GOD ROCKS yet? If not, you should! Maybe you should order a t-shirt while you’re at it!

Winding Down

We are winding down production on WHITE MAN’S WORLD and will hopefully have most everything in the can by the end of the month. It’s time (soon) for 4 Track Films to hibernate for a while. To finish editing GOD ROCKS, to regroup, to re-fill our creative “buckets” and for some of us to have babies (that’d be me, not Jason). As always it’s a roller coaster, a leap of faith and a step into the unknown. Hopefully our creative juices have flowed sufficiently and the end product will be something fantastic.

EAT at the Scenic Cafe

If you’re in North Eastern Minnesota (or even if you’re not), I highly recommend dining at the Scenic Cafe. It’s on Scenic Hwy 61 about 10 miles or so north of Duluth. The menu is incredible - varied, interesting, different - not the usual fare you get in Duluth.

We had the joy & pleasure of shooting a scene there last night and Scott, the proprietor & chef was so incredibly gracious and spectacular. I believe he won everyone over with his tasty dinners & desserts last night - we’ll all be back.

Scott also catered our open house back in May which was amazing. So - check it out! Eat some good food, drink some good wine. Enjoy.

Jason wins “Judges Choice” at Dance Competition

jason-at-dance-competition.jpg

Leave it to Mr. Page - jack of all trades - to master the ‘Contemporary Tango’ at last night’s “Celebrity Dance Challenge” put on by the Minnesota Ballet. He & partner Amanda Abrahamson did a sexy & stunning job of this tricky & technical dance which left the judges with thoughts of smouldering Buenos Aries nights.

Congratulations Jason!

And Just Like That…

…we are back in production! We started last night with the first little bit of WHITE MAN’S WORLD. We have another shoot tonight and a full day on Monday. We’re trying to go about this production in a little more…shall we say…controlled way. Not so many long, unruly days on set; not so many crazed what do we need-why don’t we have it?!? moments…trying to keep everything even keeled so we can accomplish everything we set out to.

That being said - we are still having some of our usual challenges - people not returning phone calls, locations not quite set up yet, etc but mostly I am very pleased with how things are operating. I’m looking forward to these smaller days when we can really concentrate on what we’re doing and get exactly what we need!

I’m also very excited to be working again with people that we’ve worked with in the past: Steve Lattery, Michael Hartzel, John Agurkis, Matthew Glover, Marcus Trudeau, Carl Sauer, Zhauna Franks, Zach Stofer to name a few. AND we’re adding new faces to our crew too: Alice Shafer, Crystal Pelkey, Matthew Pursi and many others.

A new adventure is about to begin!
